Kaloo, creator of comforters, soft toys, birth gifts and toys for babies, is a French brand expert in gentle development since 1998.
For many years, we have been offering toddlers and older children soft and enchanting worlds that meet their needs for development, tenderness, and security. Being by parents' side in these first moments helps them create unforgettable and peaceful memories. Kaloo takes care of babies, but also of parents. Because first times are always important, especially the first time of being a parent!
This translates into meaningful commitments, strong values and high standards for the safety of our creations.
We are

A PREMIUM BRAND
Design, choice of materials, level of safety, high standards in manufacturing, finishing, packaging, but also quality of service and advice, are all criteria we consider to best support the little ones as they make their entry into the world.

Experts in gentle awakening
Softness isn't just a pleasant sensation. It's also about tones, sounds, light, and movement. In this case, it's about awakening little ones to sensory pleasures.

COMPANIONS OF PARENTS' FIRST MOMENTS
We support parents and their babies in their first moments with kindness, creating a cocoon of softness and sensory awakening. Each creation, designed to soothe and amaze, supports the child in their discovery of the world and supports parents in their discovery of parenthood.
Strong values
Be as close as possible and provide caring, useful and sensitive support.
Helping toddlers make a successful entry into the world.
To be the safest partner for toddlers and their parents.
Commitments that make sense

The quality
All our ranges guarantee high quality and high-tech materials, respectful of the sensitive skin of little ones.
Softness, warmth, resistance of fibers and colors, our materials always prioritize quality and baby's well-being as well as their safety.

Security
All Kaloo toys meet the requirements of the Toy Directive.
They are tested and comply with toy safety standards, but also meet other chemical requirements defined in the Toy Directive: Formaldehyde, BPA, etc.
The "CE" marking is mandatory for all products covered by one or more European regulations and gives these products the right to free movement throughout the territory of the European Union.
To affix the "CE" marking to its product, the manufacturer must carry out, or have carried out, checks and tests which ensure the conformity of the product with the essential requirements defined in the relevant European texts.
Requirements and test methods for mechanical and physical properties of toys, including strength, acoustics, torsion and tension testing, and seams: specific requirements for toys intended for children under 36 months, children under 18 months, and those too young to sit up unaided. Soft, stuffed toys with simple holding and cuddling functions, for example, are considered toys intended for children under 36 months.

THE USE OF RECYCLED POLYESTER
We strive to continually improve by reducing the environmental impact of our activities. Among our efforts is the use of recycled polyester for the fabrics in our creations. We have developed two complete collections made from recycled polyester: Carré Douceur, Intemporel, and Tendre bébé. Since 2020, all our products have been filled exclusively with polyester fibers made from recycled plastic bottles.
REUSABLE CARDBOARD GIFT BOXES
Our iconic boxes are designed to be reused by families as storage containers or decorative items in the baby's room. With this in mind, our boxes adhere to a clean graphic design that makes them not only perfect for a baby shower gift, but also reusable.
This commitment to sustainability is confirmed by a survey of 265 parents aged 20 to 60: 55% of them said they would reuse the box to give another gift, 52% found another use for it in their daily lives, and 47% used it for storage. These figures demonstrate our customers' commitment to extending the life of our packaging, and reinforce our belief that reusing a beautiful object can also be a small gesture for the planet.
Since 2020, most gift boxes no longer contain plastic. We strive, wherever possible, to use recyclable materials in the packaging of our products.

Real know-how, from design
to the manufacture of our creations
In France, our designers imagine, draw, and design our collections. Their goals: to create an emotion before even opening the box and a reaction when you open it, to make you want to immerse yourself in your childhood. It's simple and it goes straight to the heart, to emotion, to sensation.
Precise in their choices and in their lines, our design teams are the ones who give our creations their soul, their personality, and their timeless style, whose details make the difference. It's their vision that sets the tone for our ranges, and their collaboration with early childhood experts that gives birth to useful collections designed for you.
Always respecting safety standards, our quality requirements, and working conditions, our products are manufactured in China. It is thanks to the expertise of our teams and partners on site, as well as the cutting-edge techniques at their disposal, that we can offer you high-end and innovative creations.
Furthermore, this allows us to exploit a variety of raw materials that are sometimes exclusively available in Asia. The manufacture of plush toys and toys requires specific production tools to achieve various sizes and shapes.
In addition, there are no longer employees trained in certain tasks for the manufacturing stages (for example, a stuffed animal may require dozens of patterns).
Part of our Quality team is present as close as possible to the production sites, to constantly ensure compliance with the working conditions of our suppliers as well as the reliability of our products, because the safety of children is our priority.
Our societal commitments in favor
of the circular economy

Actions in favor of early childhood
Since 2018, we have been supporting the Dons Solidaires association by donating stuffed animals and comforters to families in need. We have also been working with the Petit cœur de beurre association since 2018, to provide comfort and affection to babies and children with heart defects. This affects 1 in 100 children in France.

Toy rental with lib&lou
Lib&Lou, a startup founded in 2019 in Vierzon, offers no-obligation subscriptions for the rental of games and toys. Through this partnership, 17 of our products are available for rental (stuffed toys, comforters, play mats and books, puppets, night lights, etc.). The goal is to better understand the use of our products, evaluate their sustainability, and improve the customer experience. This partnership, which is part of the JURATOYS group's commitment to the circular economy and CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), responds to current environmental challenges.
Our story
1998
The Kaloo brand was created, combining two of our brand's essential values: Cuddle and Sweet, which form the name CALOUX = KALOO. A teddy bear, a cherished emotional symbol for toddlers, was chosen as the emblematic animal.
1999
The first collection is launched with Patapoufs soft toys and cuddly toys, in two different themes (colorful or more classic).
In the following years, we diversified our offer with everything necessary for the baby's world and room.
2011
The Kaloo brand is joining the JURATOYS group, and we're refocusing on soft toys and iconic Patapoufs.
2014
We diversified with our collection of Les Amis plush toys, then with our Tendresse fabric dolls in the following years.
2020
We place responsible design at the heart of our product development, with the goal of giving each collection a sense of purpose and a story beyond aesthetics. We are further diversifying our offering to truly support babies and their parents from the very beginning. As part of the JURATOYS group's CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) policy, we have decided to no longer produce round boxes for our products. Iconic, but impractical for logistics, they are replaced by rectangular or square boxes: a space-saving solution for deliveries and shelf placement.
2022
We use recycled polyester materials to create a complete range. And this will only be the beginning...
2023
We are 25 years old and we want to relaunch our iconic Patapouf with the help of consumer and field research, to find the best recipe.
