Quality and safety

Design, choice of materials, safety, high standards in manufacturing, finishing, packaging, but also quality of service and advice are all criteria on which we rely to properly support the little ones as they make their entry into the world.

The Kaloo style

Go straight to the heart

Kaloo is the perfect birth gift.
Materials, lines, colors, function... Everything is mastered. Kaloo creates an emotion before you even open the box and a reaction when you open it. Kaloo makes you want to immerse yourself in your childhood: it's simple and goes straight to the heart, to the emotion, to the sensation. Kaloo is precise in its choices, in its lines, in its materials. A classic style whose details make the difference.

Permanent controls

Standards and requirements

A pledge of trust

All Kaloo toys meet the requirements of the Toy Directive. They are tested and comply with the following toy safety standards:

The "CE" marking is mandatory for all products covered by one or more European regulations and gives these products the right to free movement throughout the territory of the European Union.

To affix the "CE" marking to its product, the manufacturer must carry out, or have carried out, checks and tests which ensure the conformity of the product with the essential requirements defined in the relevant European texts.

Requirements and test methods for mechanical and physical properties of toys, including strength, acoustics, torsion and tension testing, and seams: Specific requirements for toys intended for children under 36 months, children under 18 months, and those too young to sit up unaided. Soft, stuffed toys with simple holding and cuddling functions, for example, are considered toys intended for children under 36 months.

genesis of a product

The birth of a chubby

Step 1

sketches and prototypes

It begins with the choice of a theme, then the birth of a story. Words are translated into drawings, impressions transcribed into shapes, patterns, and materials.

Step 2

sampling room

Prototypes and samples are carefully crafted by hand. Pattern makers, embroidery engineers, cutting and sewing specialists all work closely with the design team.

Step 3

patronage

The pattern maker shapes the design. The pattern is the identity sheet of each product, essential for reproducing multiple copies.

Step 4

choice of materials

Special attention is paid to the quality of the fabric's feel and color. Each fabric is meticulously selected for its drape, its soft feel, the lightness of its fibers, and its sheen.

Step 5

finishes

The rabbits' noses, the dosage and proper distribution of the stuffing, and the closing seam are all steps carried out entirely by hand, piece by piece. This attention to detail in finishing is what defines Kaloo's quality and the uniqueness of each of the characters in our ranges.

Step 6

finished product

Once the shapes have been finalized, they undergo further reflection, retouching, and refinements, culminating in the final design. Presented in their gift boxes, the soft appearance of our Patapoufs invites cuddles!
